Today I learned more on electron orbitals and configurations. Go here it’s helpful.
Today I write a summery for Macbeth by William Shakespeare. The story starts with three witches deciding they should meet with Macbeth. Macbeth is the king’s kinsman, a general in king Duncans army and the Thane of Glamis. Banquo is another general and the Thane of Cawdor. Macbeth and Banquo have just defeated Macdonwald are being celebrated. Macbeth and Banquo get together to talk of their victory however the withes appear and tell them of their fates. Macbeth was to first be the Thane of Cawdor then the king. Banquo was to be less than Macbeth but happier, less successful, yet more.He also was to father a line of kings though he himself would not be one.
At first Macbeth is skeptical but then another thane tells him of his new title, the Thane of Cawdor. Macbeth now ambitious tells his wife of the prophecy however when she tells him to kill the king (Honestly I would wait to be king and I wouldn’t listen to Mrs. Evil Macbeth). So he stabs the king in his sleep and blames the killing on some nearby servants. Macbeth is so shaken that lady Macbeth had to take charge. Lennox, a Scottish nobleman and Macduff, the thane of Fife arrive and Macbeth shows them the kings bedroom. After Macduff sees the kings body Macbeth kills the guards so they don’t profess their innocence.
King Duncan’s sons, Malcom and Donalbain flee for their lives to England. Macbeth as the kings kinsman is made king and is suspicious of Banquo. So when Banquo and his son Fleance go out for a ride the sends three assassins (I wouldn’t kill Banquo, he’s a good person). Banquo is killed but Fleance escapes. At a banquet Macbeth, sees Banquo’s ghost sit in his chair this makes Macbeth rage. The ghost could only be seen from Macbeth’s view so lady Macbeth made everyone leave. Macbeth visits the tree witches for answers. So the witches answer him with horrifying images. First an armored head appears and tells Macbeth to beware of Macduff. A bloody child tells Macbeth no one born of a woman could hurt Macbeth. And a crowned child tells him he will be safe until Great Birnam wood comes to Dunsinane hill. Looking at what he is told Macbeth concludes that he is safe (Why would the witches go through all that trouble if Macbeth were to be safe)
Lady Macbeth becomes overwhelmed by all the crimes she and Macbeth committed and says all her crimes out loud. Meanwhile Macduff’s family is slaughtered in his castle, Macduff is filled with vengeance. Malcom, king Duncan’s son has built up an army in England and Macduff joins him. While camping in the Birnam woods the soldiers are ordered to carry branches to camouflage their numbers. Macbeth is put into despair when he learns that lady Macbeth has killed herself. Nevertheless he prepares his defenses. His hopes are lowered when he learns that the enemy is approaching with boughs of Birnam wood. He still kept fighting a lost battle until the enemy overwhelmed the castle. Then Macbeth stated that no person born of a woman could defeat him. Macduff says in return that he was born of no woman and kills Macbeth.
Today I learned about car insurance and taxes. Firstly insurance is paying someone to take on a risk for you. Car insurance may be the first significant insurance you buy. However every kind of insurance has two problems, moral hazard and adverse selection. Moral hazard is the risk to the insurer that the insured party will, because of the insurance engage in activities that are more likely to result in claim. Moral hazards occurs after the insurance policy has been taken out. If someone else is paying the costs of risky behavior you’re more likely to engage in risky business. Adverse selection is the risk to the insurer that the worst (most risky) people will be the most likely to take out an insurance policy. adverse selection occurs before the insurance policy has been taken out. Those who face the greatest risks are those who are most eager to buy insurance. Of course where you live is a factor if you want insurance. If your area has a lot of traffic, even if the drivers are really good traffic equals collisions.
Today I learned about electron orbitals. First of all you need to understand the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. Which basically states there is no possible way to find out the current position of an electron or to find out how fast an electron is going. That cloud around the atom is called the electron cloud. It acts as the probability of where an electron could be. This is just a 2D diagram but the electron cloud in reality would be a sphere.
Let me get a Periodic Table in here…You see those numbers on the far left, sorry if they’re not big enough. But the numbers signify the period the element is in. Remember shells? Well basically those numbers are telling you how many shells the element has. If you can see hydrogen and helium are both 1’s that’s because they both have one shell.
Today I learned about the words, paradox . A Paradox is a statement or proposition that, despite sound (or apparently sound) reasoning from acceptable premises, leads to a conclusion that seems senseless, logically unacceptable, or self-contradictory. A pun is a joke exploiting the different possible meanings of a word or the fact that there are words that sound alike but have different meanings. A doggerel is a comic verse composed in irregular rhythm.
Today I did a review.
Today I learned about Richard Branson. He has actually been knighted so… Sir Richard Branson. But anyways Richard Branson is a British entrepreneur, of the flashy type. In 1972 he started a record store called Virgin Records. In 1984 he created Virgin Atlantic Airways, you’ve probably heard of it or flown on it. Unfortunately he had to sell Virgin Records to fund Virgin Airways which he was very sad about. In 1993 he created Virgin Trains. You get the idea with the Virgin stuff now right? Because he went on to make Virgin Vodka and Cola and Virgin Galactic and Virgin Mobile and Virgin Media.
